The Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association has chosen a Scholarship Selection Committee to oversee the selection process in a prayerful, equitable manner.  They shall determine the amount to be awarded, not to exceed 50% of total trip costs.  Amounts to be awarded may vary depending on the amount available for distribution and the number of eligible recipients.

Recipients must . . .

• be a member of an OTBA-affiliated church for at least 12 months prior to the date of their application;
• demonstrate an interest in and commitment to the spread of the Gospel in the world;
• be at least 15 years old, or have completed the 9th grade;
• submit an application at least 4 months prior to the planned departure for the mission trip, including a 250-350 word essay explaining why he or she wishes to participate in this trip;
• express a need for financial assistance.

Applicants will be notified of the Selection Committee's decision within 3 months of the scheduled trip departure.  Awards will be mailed directly to the appropriate sponsoring entity or agent coordinating the trip.

Recipients of awards may reapply.  However, the Selection Committee may give preference to applicants who are not previous recipients.
