The Salazar Fund was created to encourage and assist Oldham-Trimble Baptists to go on short term volunteer international mission trips. It was created to honor the memory and missions commitment of Luis and Raquel Salazar, who died in a car accident in May, 2002. Luis was the catalytic missionary of Central Region Hispanic Ministry and in OTBA initiated the planting of New Dawn Baptist Church/Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Amanecer. Gifts will be held in perpetuity to facilitate the spread of the gospel around the world for years to come. The Kentucky Baptist Foundation administers this memorial trust fund. Earnings from gifts to the endowment will be allocated each year to provide partial scholarships for trip expenses. The fund will help enable people to go on mission trips who might not otherwise be able to do so.
Not everyone can go to far off lands to share the Good News of our Lord. But, through this memorial trust, all Oldham-Trimble Baptists can enable others to go and invite lost men, women, boys, and girls to accept the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Your tax-deductible gift, whether small or great, will enable your Christian brothers and sisters to go to the ends of the earth to tell others about Jesus and salvation through Him.
May God bless you for your faithful giving! |
