In order to begin the search for a new Director of Missions (DOM) to replace Rick Lucas and in accordance with the OTBA constitution, the Administrative Team has named the DOM search team. The search team is made up of the following members:

One of the most important things each and every one of our churches and church members can do to assist the DOM Search Team is to pray for the team, for the process and for the next DOM that God has in store for OTBA. Dean Bowling (Milton) and Harold Roberts (LaGrange) have been assigned as co-chairs of our DOM search team prayer team. Dean and Harold will develop a network of contact persons who will enlist churches in specific prayer as the DOM Search Team begins and continues its work.
The Search Team has already had two meetings with Larry Baker, Director of the KBC's New Works and Associational Missions. Larry provides a great orientation process and training for the Search Team to allow them to work efficiently and effectively . . . all girded by your prayers! We have advertised the DOM position on several search engines, in the Western Recorder, etc. As of March 18, 2009, we have received and reviewed over 50 total resumes of potential candidates. Pray for discernment as we go through the process of trying to determine the "top candidates" to review more closely as we attempt to get down to candidates that we wish to contact and find out more about to make a decision.
Please watch for information here as we'll post "NEWS" from our DOM Search Team. We will make every effort to keep our churches updated on any progress, however please be patient.
We are so fortunate that Rick Lucas has been our DOM for over 15 years now and for all the work he and Lucy have accomplished. In addition, Rick has agreed to stay on as our "interim" DOM for an additional 3 months and we are thankful for his continued service.
